Mohamed Adel – Video Technology – VAR – Zamalek – Al-Masry
The tripartite committee of the Egyptian Football Association (EFA) intends to present some issues related to VAR technology to the Premier League clubs, at its meeting tomorrow Wednesday.
FilGoal.com learned that the committee will explain to the clubs that there is no contract between the Football Association and the Spanish company implementing the technology, but rather an assignment letter.
This means, according to a source from the Football Association, to FilGoal.com, that there is no legal box that allows payment of the economic claims of the executing company, which so far has reached 100,000 dollars.
In addition, the committee will clarify, from its point of view, that there is a breach of some of the terms of the agreement, such as not applying the intrusion detection technology as agreed.
A FIFA source told FilGoal.com: “Egypt has the technical capabilities and the ability to contract any of the other offers to implement the technology, which is already in place.”
However, the tripartite committee will offer clubs to share technology costs, which amounted to $ 4.5 million, over 3 years, at a time when the five-year committee headed by Amr Al-Ganayni had promised it before it expires. his mandate from FIFA earlier this month.
The committee is expected to require clubs to jointly pay 50% of technology costs.
VAR technology has been applied in Egypt since the start of the second round last season.
