Ibrahim Hassan, football director of the Alexandria Al-Ittihad Club, was surprised by the change in the temporary committee to manage the Egyptian Football Association after the start of the season, which led to the departure of the Competitions Committee.

Al-Ittihad of Alexandria scored 4 points in the first two rounds of the Egyptian League, beating the Pyramids and drawing against Smouha.

Ibrahim Hassan told FilGoal.com: “I don’t understand the reason for changing the committee that runs the Football Association at this time.”

He was surprised: “Is it logical that the International Federation (FIFA) leaves the whole world to focus on Egypt?”

“Changing the competition committee after the start of the season creates confusion and also changes the Committee of the Football Association,” he explained.

Speaking about the youth team, he said: “There is an error on our part due to traveling 10 days before the start of the tournament in circumstances of the Coronavirus pandemic.”

He continued: “We were supposed to travel 48 hours ago just to better seal the team, especially since the virus is more widespread in Tunisia.”

Hassan revealed, “Mohamed Abdel-Ghani hasn’t seen him in the last period due to the association with the youth team camps, and in the end the result is nothing.”

Speaking about Al-Ittihad of Alexandria, Ibrahim Hassan said: “The ball is good and the ball is a gain and a loss, but there are some negatives that led to the draw.”

He added: “We meet with the players and inform them about the negatives to avoid them in the next period.”

“We have a new regulation, and just as there are penalties for non-compliance, there are good rewards,” he said.

He revealed: “We filed a complaint with the Football Association to register Fawzi Al-Hinnawi, and so far we do not know the reason for the delay in response.

He explained: “Al-Hinnawi was a player in Al-Ahly’s ranks and loaned to Smouha, but his loan ended and Al-Ahly removed his name from the roster and we signed him for two seasons.”

“We hope that the matter will be resolved quickly to benefit the player in the next matches,” he stressed.

And he moved his statements when talking about Okoye, “There was no new excuse until now and every day, once he told us that he was infected with Corona, then malaria, then his father fell ill.”

“We imposed sanctions on the player to preserve the rights of the club. We wanted to benefit from another foreign player instead of him.”
