Hossam Al-Zinati, head of the Competitions Committee, announced the date of the end of the current league season and the new season of the competition.
Al-Zanati said on the channel “Ontime Sports” about the league: “The dates announced for the league qualification are final, especially after the CAF postponed their matches and there were no obstacles in front of us.”
“The league will end on October 29 or 30, and the new season will begin in the last 10 days of November,” he added.
Regarding the Egyptian Cup, he said: “We will play the two matches of the round of 16 and based on the identity of the ascendants, we will determine the remaining dates for the matches.”
And when asked about the crisis of identifying qualifiers for next season’s African Championship and opening the door to registration on October 20, he commented: “At that point, we will have been through 33 rounds of the league and I believe that the matter will be resolved. “
He added: “If it was not resolved, this situation is not strange, as we have been exposed before and we will request an exception from the African Union for several days until the last round of the tournament is played.”
Regarding Zamalek’s reservations about the date of the border guards meeting, which is scheduled for six days before the Moroccan Raja’s match in the semi-finals of the CAF Champions League, Zanati said: “The confusion ensued. due to the old dates of the African Champions League. “
“Everyone thought that the time difference between the two games would be 5 days, but now it is 6 for Al-Ahly, Zamalek and Pyramids,” he explained.
He added: “We treat everyone with a single rule and with the greatest fairness, and I think the matter has been understood.”
