Ismail Homs, Ismaili club coach, thanked the players for the great victory over Masr Club.
Ismaily outpointed Masr with four unanswered goals in round 25 at Ismailia Stadium.
“The players managed to get back on the winning track,” Homs said after the game. “I appreciate what you presented today.”
He added: “The team includes good players, but they suffer a loss of confidence.”
He explained: “I hope that the masses will unite around the team and put aside the differences.”
He stressed: “We will fight against Al-Ahly to achieve a positive result and take advantage of the moral boost to the players after today’s victory.”
He concluded: “Ismaily is my home and I cannot refuse to accept the call. Our goal is to put the team where it belongs.”
Ahmed Al-Ajouz and Muhammad Homs take over the technical task in Ismaili on a temporary basis, until a foreign artistic director is hired.
And that victory became the first for the Ismaili in three games, after defeating Tanta, before being defeated by Al-Ittihad of Alexandria and Misr Al-Maqsat.
As for Club Masr, this is their second league loss since its restart and seven games after previously losing to Wadi Degla.
Historically, Ismaili faced Club Egypt on three occasions, winning all of them and without conceding a goal from their rival.
Al-Dervish opened the game’s goals with a penalty scored by Omar Al-Wahsh in the 23rd minute.
The 63rd minute saw Masr Club player Sherif Ashraf dismissed after he prevented Abdel Rahman Magdy from being alone, who resorted to video before the red card was announced.
And from a direct free kick, Abdel Rahman Magdy scored the second goal with a superb shot from the left.
In the 85th minute, Muhammad al-Shami scored Ismaily’s third goal with a missile.
With the arrival of the 90th minute, Hazem Morsi scored the fourth goal with a shot from the edge of the area.
With this result, Ismaily reached 30 points, occupying the tenth place in the table, after playing 24 games.
While Masr Club’s balance remained at 18 points, it ranks 17th and before last after playing 24 games.
