The Susa city court of first instance rejected the request to release Tunisian Hamdi El-Nagaz, the former Zamalek player.
“The court rejected the request made by Hamdi Al-Naqaz’s lawyer to release the player today,” the court’s spokesman said in his remarks to Radio Mosaico de Tunis.
The court scheduled a new session on May 15 to consider the Hamdi El-Naqaz case, according to Tunisian radio.
Al-Naqaz was sentenced to 4 months in prison and fined 100 Tunisian dinars after he was subjected to an inappropriate statement by a public official who detained him while driving his car during the curfew. (See details)
The 27-year-old right back left Zamalek without the latter’s consent, claiming he did not receive his dues, before filing a complaint against the club and receiving a ruling from the International Federation.
