Ryan Giggs, a former Manchester United star and current Welsh coach, fears that the former will be away from the Premier League title for a long time due to the superiority of his rivals, especially Liverpool and Manchester City.
“Yes, 100%,” Giggs said in a radio interview titled “The Best Game,” in response to a question about whether he is concerned about United’s continued distraction from the national title.
And Giggs, who was featured in United’s last league coronation in 2013, “can last 15, 20 years, especially if (Juergen) Klopp and (Pep) Guardiola continue.”
“They have the players and the resources, so we have to look at Liverpool. It took Klopp four and a half years to win the league, it takes time, you have to think about what Klopp did.”
“The team developed every season or won a title like the Champions League, so the pressure eased over time. Every new coach and player (at United) is seen as the one who is going to win the league for the team, it’s not like that, “the former left winger continued.
United continue to try to keep up with their rivals to regain the title, lost 7 years ago.
United have not strayed from the title for so long since the start of the new league system in the 1992-1993 season.
United are the most crowned champions in history, winning 20 titles to Liverpool’s 19.
