Ghana’s Legion City club announced the signing of historic striker Gian Asamoah from the Black Stars team in a free transfer on the final day of the summer transfer market in Ghana.

The big-budget Ghanaian club managed to sign Gyan after years of linking his name to a signing for Asante Kotoko.

Legion City looks forward to supporting their attack by joining the historic Ghana striker, after he scored the fewest goals last season in the Ghana League.

The 34-year-old was left without a team after his departure from Northeast United in India.

The former Emirati star Al Ain will receive $ 1 million for a period of 4 years in addition to incentives of up to $ 250,000.

Thus, Gian returns to the Ghana League after 17 years since his appearance with Liberty Professionals, who scored 10 goals with him in 16 games, to start a professional career with Udinese, during which he played with Modena, Rennes, Sunderland, Al Ain, Shanghai, Al-Ahly Dubai and Kayseri Sport.

Notably, Gyan represented Ghana at the 2006, 2010 and 2014 FIFA World Cups and scored six goals to become the best African scorer in the history of the World Cup.

In total, Gian has scored 51 goals for the Black Stars since his debut in 2003.
