Faraj Amer, President of Smouha Club, revealed the method for choosing the team’s new coach.
Hamada Sidqi, Smouha’s coach, apologized for not fulfilling his mission with the Alexandrian team after the draw with Aswan in the Egyptian League.
Faraj Amer said today on Al-Hadath TV: “Before Corona, Smouha was one of the strongest teams in the league and the only team that tied with Al-Ahly.”
“And after coming back from detention, there are some players who have not reached their level and others are not doing well with the team,” he added.
He continued: “The crisis is completely far from Hamada Sidqi, because he is a distinguished coach, and he has trained Smouha more than once, and he has achieved many successes with us, but the team is matched by misfortune, so he preferred not continue”.
When asked if Smouha’s next coach would be one of Hossam Hassan or Mohamed Youssef, he replied: “The duo is one of the big names in the coaching world, but Smouha will not hire a coach with a big name.”
And he concluded his statements: “We will sign a junior coach who is not famous, who has ambition and desire to achieve success with the team.”
