Tariq Al-Saeed, a former star of the Egyptian national team, believes that Ahmed Fathi’s failure to join the list of pharaohs to face Togo is a crisis in light of Mohamed Hani’s absence due to injury.
Egypt will play Togo next Tuesday in the fourth round of the African Nations Qualifiers in Cameroon 2021.
The Egyptian team defeated Togo 1-0 in the third qualifying round, which was scored by Mahmoud Hamdi “Al-Wensh”.
FilGoal.com asked the former Egyptian soccer stars what is the most suitable form for the team in this match and the best formation from their point of view.
He also asked FilGoal.com who can compensate Muhammad Hani, who was injured, and Amr Al-Soulia, who was suspended.
Tariq Al-Saeed told FilGoal.com: “If Ahmed Fathi were with the Egyptian team, he would definitely solve this crisis because there was no right-back except Mohamed Hani.”
He added: “I think Hamdi Fathy is best suited to lead the right front, especially since his defensive roles will be more in this match.”
He continued: “In the center of the stadium, Tariq Hamed will definitely play in place of Amr Al-Soleya.”
He concluded his words: “I do not see that this game needs many changes in the formation, only the mandatory substitutions for absences.”
And Tariq Al-Saeed chose the most appropriate Egypt formation for this match as follows:
Target: Mohammed Al-Shennawi.
Defender: Hamdi Fathy – Al-Wensh – Ahmed Hegazy – Fattouh.
The center: Tariq Hamed – Muhammad Al-Nani – Abdullah Al-Saeed.
The attack: Trezeguet – Mostafa Mohamed – Zizou.
