The Dutch report indicated that the value of the agreement with Depay will reach 25 million euros, and that Barcelona wants to officially announce the agreement this week.
There is only one season left on Depay’s contract with Lyon.
Koeman commented on Lionel Messi’s crisis with the club, saying: “What happened was a dispute between Lionel and the Barcelona management. I spoke to him and he will do everything possible for the team as always.”
Leo Messi had announced his stay in Barcelona and gave up his desire to leave, after the club’s president, Josep Maria Bartomeu, told him that he had to pay 700 million euros if he wanted to terminate the contract.
It is worth noting that Ronald Koeman, Barcelona’s new coach, was the first to summon Depay to join the Dutch team as he coached the orange team.
Depay, 26, signed for Lyon in January 2017 from Manchester United with a sum of € 16 million and scored a first-round hat-trick for Lyon against Dijon in the French League to the new season 20/21, which he won 4-1.
