The British Culture Committee held a meeting with the media, sports and police committees to discuss the possibility of clubs resuming their matches in the English Premier League for the current season in their stadiums without resorting to the idea of neutral stadiums. And according to a report published by the British newspaper “Daily Mail”.

The report says that the Premier League sent its representatives to attend the meeting, after the English Football Association and the English Football Association disagreed with the British government due to the latter’s recommendation.

The British government previously recommended that playing on team courts without resorting to neutral stadiums has become the prerogative of local police in each region.

The report made it clear that several police forces said they had no problem securing games and playing them in their original stadiums, provided security recommendations and certain conditions were met.

One of the reasons why the neutral stadiums proposed and the resumption of the season in only 8 stadiums was the fear of the English Premier League and the government that fans would gather outside their club stadiums during the meetings, before that the clubs opposed this.

Most police forces revealed that while clubs can provide assurances to their local police forces that protests will not occur and will accept the conditions, a sufficient number of police forces will be paid to ensure that the rules for social spacing, safe confrontations and then complete the season naturally complete.

One of the conditions that also exists is that the clubs pay the costs of the police and the security forces, which must be met to face the confrontations in their stadiums.

Local police chiefs in Britain released a statement in which they said the negotiations were very positive and that if the conditions are met, matches will be secured and each match will be played at their club’s stadium without resorting to neutral stadiums .

Two-thirds of the 20 Premier League clubs rejected the idea of resuming competition in neutral stadiums on Monday night, until the Premier League’s return was halted.
