English newspaper Daily Mail said Arsenal had started taking steps to extend midfielder Mohamed Al-Nani’s contract after Al-Masry appeared well this season.
The current contract for Nini, 28, expires in 2022.
Nini have become a key component of coach Mikel Arteta’s squad and have appeared in 9 games this season.
