Mazen Marzouq, head of the Egyptian Football Association’s competition committee, revealed that Al-Ahly had agreed to play the first-round match against Al-Mahalla after security refused to install him in the stadium of this latest.

Marzouq explained that Al-Ahly did not participate in the transfer of the match, but rather welcomed the proposal of the club and the Football Association to change the match system.

And the Competitions Committee announced the transfer of the first round match between Al-Ahly and Al-Mahalla to Al-Ahly WE Al-Salam Stadium after security forces refused to install it at Al-Mahalla Stadium.

Marzouq told FilGoal.com: “The security forces refused to hold a meeting between Al-Ahly and Al-Mahalla at the latter’s stadium, due to the lack of some conditions and equipment.”

He continued: “Due to lack of time, we had no choice but to resort to the idea of ​​changing the party system and making the first round to the right of Al-Ahly and the second to the right of Al-Mahalla” .

Marzouq revealed: “Al-Ahly graciously accepted the request of the Football Association and Al-Mahalla to use their stadium in the first round.”

He stressed that “Al-Ahly has nothing to do with changing stadiums and it was not a party, as some promote.”

The head of the competition committee added: “He has coordinated with Pyramids and Vanguards of the Army to accept the idea of ​​changing the system of match stadiums so that they receive Zamalek in their stadium in the first round.”

And he continued, “as long as the second round matches are for the white team due to the closure of the Cairo Stadium.”

Marzouk sent a message to the clubs saying: “I thank you for this good spirit and understanding of all circumstances and situations to ensure the stability and regularity of the competition.”

Speaking about the summit match, Marzouq said: “It will take place in Burj Al Arab, which is Zamalek’s match, and the second round stadium is unknown.”

He continued: “It is unlikely that the same stadium change system will apply and that the match will be Al-Ahly’s right due to the privacy of Al-Ahly Stadium and due to security approvals.”

He concluded his comments: “I will not speak in the media about anything related to sanctions, such as the Ramadan Sobhi incident. The matter is related to the reports of the rulers and observers and is still under study and there is no room for the discussion in public. “
