Patrice Carteron, Zamalek’s French coach, revealed that the team’s plan against Pyramids had changed to make up for the absence of Tarek Hamed.
Zamalek beat Pyramids with two goals to nil, on matchday 24 of the Egyptian League.
“At the beginning of the game, we suffered from inconsistency, because we played with a new plan,” Carteron told Zamalek TV after the game.
However, he added, “we could have finished the game by more than one goal and killed the game if we had.”
The French coach continued: “The end of the game was difficult for us because of the pressure from Pyramids and the penalty that almost turned the game around, but we have more than one player who can score and in the end we were able to win.”
Carteron continued, “Tariq Hamid is a great player and we had to change the plan to replace him. I think Sassi and Zizou played a great game today alongside Obama, who scored a great goal for Kasungu.”
And he continued: “We had the ball most of the time, except for the last minutes in which the Pyramids tried to compensate and we added the second goal.”
Carteron recently spoke about Shikabala’s return to the team and the constant involvement of the youth.
In this regard, the Frenchman said: “Happy with Oud Shikabala, one of the leaders of the team that everyone loves and has a role in the team, whether the match starts or not, in addition to his great influence because all opponents work their account to stop it. “

The victory lifted Zamalek’s balance to point 48 in second place, while Pyramids’ balance froze at point 45 in third place.
