The French Patrice Carteron, former technical director of Zamalek and current of the Saudi cooperation, expressed his anger at what he described as “the mistreatment he received from Mortada Mansour, president of Zamalek”, on his last day in Egypt.
He told Carteron FilGoal.com: “After I resigned from the Zamalek club and received offers, and the conversation between Mortada Mansour and I was filmed to inform the public and Zamalek fans, and I did not object.”
Carteron left the management of Zamalek after the termination of his contract to pay the value of the penalty clause estimated at two months of the value of his contract.
He added: “The officials in Zamalek told me that I am a respected coach, and I left the team with respect, and that’s why they brought me a special driver to take me to the airport.”
He continued: “On the way, the driver stopped me before we got to the airport, where Zamalek officials called and told him to inform me that the police were on their way to stop me, all this was because I did not continue my trip to Beirut and from there to Qatar to lead Saudi cooperation in the AFC Champions League. “
The Saudi cooperation announced the termination of its agreement with Carteron to lead the team for two seasons.

“What happened is a shame, why did they try not to take me to the airport? I booked a hotel near the airport and traveled to Beirut on Thursday morning,” Carteron said.
He concluded: “What happened to me is very bad and does not correspond to the professionalism methods used in all countries of the world, which are governed by contracts.”
