Jorge, brother of Carlos Bilardo, Argentina coach and Diego Maradona, 1986 World Cup champion, said that Carlos is not yet aware of the news of the death of the Argentine legend and that this will negatively affect his health.
“The news of Maradona’s death will remain in the news for four, five or twenty days in the media, and this will complicate everything, because Carlos Bilardo watches television and many games,” Jorge was quoted as saying by the Spanish newspaper Marca.
And he continued: “I spoke with Osker Ruggeri and he will find him with two or three of the generation of 1986. We will see how he reacts and what happens.”
“Diego meant a lot to his life,” he said.
Bilardo coached Maradona with the Argentine national team at the 1986 World Cup in Mexico and crowned its champions, and also coached him in Seville during the 1992-1993 season.
Carlos Bielardo was discharged from the hospital several weeks ago after suffering from ischemic hydrocephalus or Wise Adams syndrome.
Maradona had undergone surgery in Argentina earlier this month after suffering a brain hemorrhage, and was discharged 8 days from the hospital.
A CT scan revealed the presence of a hematoma known as hemorrhage in the brain.
Maradona assumed the leadership of Argentine team Guimenacia La Plata and led the team in the first round of the Argentine League Cup competition on October 31, which coincided with his 60th birthday, before being hospitalized several days later, and then pass away on November 25.
