UEFA agreed with Istanbul Basaksehir and Paris Saint-Germain to postpone their meeting on Wednesday night.

“BN Sports” reported that the European Union decided to complete the match within 8-5 minutes of Cairo time at Princes Park Stadium.

What happened?

A verbal altercation broke out between the Basaksehir players and the fourth official after he directed racist statements at one of the players.

The English newspaper “The Independent” reported that Basaksehir striker Demba Ba told the referee: “You don’t say the white player, so when you speak you don’t say the black player, why did you say that?”

“BN Sports” reported that the proposed solution is to replace the fourth official with another referee from the video room, provided that the match is completed from the minute it was stopped.

But minutes later, a BBC Sports reporter stated in the match that the Turkish club rejected the presence of the fourth official even in the video room and asked to withdraw him from the match in its entirety.

That’s before announcing the adjournment and end of the meeting on Wednesday night.

Notably, the result was a goalless draw, with Saint-Germain guaranteed his official qualification, regardless of the result, after Manchester United were eliminated by Leipzig.

Basaksehir said goodbye to the European Championship and the match is an honor for him.
