Ashraf Sobhi said in a statement from the Sports Ministry: “It was agreed to postpone the private plane scheduled for Wednesday, to return the mission of the youth team, while remaining ready to travel at any given time with the approval of the Minister of Aviation.
The team’s team sample was positive for 14 players with the Corona virus, in addition to Rabei Yassin, the team’s technical director.
He added: “The plane trip was postponed to give the Egyptian Federation and the youth team the opportunity to continue participating in the tournament.”
The Sports Minister revealed that “Mohamed Abu El-Ela, the first team doctor, has traveled to Tunisia to provide the medical equipment for the youth team and follow up on all developments.”
“The safety of the players remains the priority and is of the utmost importance,” he concluded.
