It is an unprecedented crisis in the Egyptian League. We are not used to seeing her, and the reason is that she trusts “hearing”, not seeing. Here we are talking about the Egyptian Club crisis due to the Alexandria Al-Ittihad meeting.

Alexandria’s Al Ittihad tied Club Egypt with two goals for each team last Friday on matchday 26 of the Egyptian League.

Masr played with 10 players against Al Ittihad from minute 44 of the first half, but the crisis was not there.

The unprecedented crisis, in which the Egyptian champion club was involved, was not due to the expulsion, but to “Reda Weishi did not get a penalty in the last minutes of the match”.

For a moment, asking any player to take a penalty is a continually occurring issue in the Egyptian league, and indeed in all leagues, so why is this crisis unprecedented? This is what Ahmed El-Araby, member of the Masr Club Board of Directors, explains to us.

While the Egyptian club players opposed the referee, Ahmed Al-Adawy, the match referee, while listening to the video technology referee’s talk with him, “The players heard the voice of the video referee telling them that the ball was a penalty kick.”According to Ahmed El-Araby, a member of the club’s management, with FilGoal.com.

Ahmed Al-Arabi said: “We officially request the Football Association to empty the conversation that took place between the match referee and the video referee at the Alexandria meeting.”

“We deserve a penalty in the last minutes, and during the objection to the referee, everyone heard the referee’s voice on video telling the referee that the ball was a penalty. The speakers are very loud and the players heard the conversation,” he said.

He went on to say: “What happened is not normal. How does a video technology exist and does something like this happen? The goal of video technology is to reduce errors, and what happened is abnormal, so we officially request to get rid of the conversation”.

“The penalty we were awarded is not correct in the first place, according to all the referee analysts, and the reason is that the ball hit the Al-Ittihad player’s hand first and that shot caused Islam Saleh to be sent off.”

He continued: “As for the kick we deserve at the end of the match, the referee spoke for quite some time over the phone with the video referee, and the players clearly heard what happened, so we ask to empty the conversation and wait the response of the Football Association “.

Masr Club is second to last in the league with 19 points, while Alexandria’s Al-Ittihad is in fifth place with 36 points.
