A source within the Ismaili club said former Alexandria coach Talaat Youssef was included on the list of coaches nominated to coach the team, succeeding Ricardo, who was fired. And that is in exclusive statements to FilGoal.com.

The source stated: “Talaat Youssef, the former coach of the Alexandria Federation, is entering the circle of coaches nominated to assume leadership of the team.”

And he continued: “At the moment he is one of the closest candidates to form the team.”

He continued: “The name Sebacetan Desbar has also been introduced.”

He concluded: “The official announcement will be made in the next few hours about the new coach.”

Ismaily announced the removal of Ricardo from his position after losing to El Gouna in the third day of the Egyptian League.

Desabre coached Ismaili during the 2017-2018 season before leaving to coach the Ugandan national team, then took over for Pyramido and the Moroccan Wydad, and is now not associated with coaching any teams.

Ricardo is the first coach to leave his team in the Egyptian League this season.

Ricardo previously coached Ismaili in two states, and achieved great success in the first when he led the team to compete for the Premier League title until their last breath against Al-Ahly in 2008/2009.

Ricardo returned to Castillo Derviche in September at the end of last season, but only knew the taste of victory in two of the 10 games in which he led Ismaili to his last term, in exchange for 4 losses.

Ismaily is currently 12th in the table with two points after 3 rounds.
