The Ismaili club began its contacts with several coaches to appoint one of them as technical director of the team that would succeed Brazilian Heron Ricardo.
Ismaily announced the removal of Ricardo from his position after losing to El Gouna in the third day of the Egyptian League.
A responsible source within Ismaili revealed toFilGoal.com: “The administration immediately initiated contacts with several foreign coaches.”
He added: “The announcement of the new technical director will be in the next few hours.”
He concluded his remarks, “Sebastian Desbar, a former Ismaili coach, is also among these names.”
Desabre coached Ismaili during the 2017-2018 season before leaving to coach the Ugandan national team, then took over for Pyramido and the Moroccan Wydad, and is now not associated with coaching any teams.
Ricardo is the first coach to leave his team in the Egyptian League this season.
Ricardo previously coached Ismaili in two states, and achieved great success in the first when he led the team to compete for the Premier League title until their last breath against Al-Ahly in 2008/2009.
Ricardo returned to Castillo Derviche in September at the end of last season, but only knew the taste of victory in two of the 10 games in which he led Ismaili to his last term, in exchange for 4 losses.
