Amir Tawfiq, Contract Director for Al-Ahly, revealed the contract scenes with Mohamed Magdy Afsha from Pyramids.
Tawfiq said via Ontime Sports 2: “Zamalek tried to enter the deal and sign a contract with Afsha.”
He revealed: “I hid it for 3 hours in the garage of the opera until we completed the agreement with Pyramids.”
He stressed: “Also, the image was clear of Afsha, whose choice was by Al-Ahly.”
Amir Tawfiq denied that the failure to sign Muhammad Ibrahim was caused by the player’s lack of will.
And he declared with a smile: “Ask Essam Siraj (Contract Director of the Egyptian Clearing House) about that.”
He added: “Musimani saw that there is no technical need for Mohamed Ibrahim.”
He revealed: “I called Muhammad Ibrahim personally and informed him of the decision because he would come to meet me that day, and I told him that the deal will not be completed.”
As Amir Tawfiq put it, “the pyramids offered a reciprocal deal between Ahmed Al Sheikh and Mohamed Farouk.”
He added: “We respect the public side, of course, but it was not the reason why Farouk was not included.”
He justified: “The vision of the coaching staff led by Musimani was that we don’t need Mohamed Farouk at this time.”
