Al-Ahly announced his list of travelers to Morocco on Tuesday, in preparation for Saturday’s game against Wydad in the first leg of the African Champions League.
Al-Ahly travels with all the players on his African roster except the injured ones, as long as the duo Ali Maaloul from Tunisia and Geraldo from Angola join the team’s mission as soon as the camp of the national teams of their two countries ends.
Al-Ahly’s list is:
Goalkeepers: Mohamed El Shennawy, Ali Lotfi and Mostafa Schubert
Defender: Ali Maaloul, Mahmoud Waheed, Ayman Ashraf, Yasser Ibrahim, Muhammad Hani and Ahmed Fathy
Midfilders: Amr Al-Soulia, Aliou Diang, Hamdi Fathy, Mohamed Magdy “Afsha”, Junior Ajay, Saleh Jumaa, Hussein Al-Shahat, Ahmed Al-Sheikh, Walid Suleiman, Mahmoud Kahraba and Geraldo
The Attack: Marwan Mohsen and Aliou Badji
Al-Ahly will fly to Morocco this afternoon, and the mission is led by Mahmoud Al-Khatib, former club president and icon.
Al-Ahly will host the second leg 6 days later.
And if Al-Ahly, the tournament record holder with eight crowns, qualifies for the final, facing Zamalek or Raja.
