Hossam Al-Badri, coach of the Egyptian team, revealed that the next camp of the Pharaohs will see the inclusion of new players, highlighting his constant contact with Mohamed Salah, the Liverpool star and Ahmed Hassan “Coca”, the forward of the Olympiacos.
Egypt will play Kenya and Comoros next March in the 2021 African Nations Championship qualifiers.
Al-Badri told Ontime Sports: “New elements are expected to be added to the team, maybe two or three players. We follow a lot of players, but I will not reveal their names.”
He added: “This is next to the group of young players present.”
He revealed: “I always communicate with Salah, as well as Ahmed Hassan Coca, who trained 3 times recently.”
Coca had caught the Coronavirus to stay away from the stadiums before announcing that he had turned negative, to return to the training of his Greek team.
Regarding the qualifying matches, he said: “The next international agenda will be between March 21 and 29. The matches in Kenya and Comoros will be the official qualifying matches for the tournament.”
Al-Badri expressed his admiration for the level of league matches for the 2020-2021 season, saying: “The start of the current season is better than last season, which witnessed difficult circumstances.”
And he added: “But I hope that the parties are rationed so that the curve does not go down due to their cohesion.”
“But the coaches of the league team put this in their plans, so the rotation process is very important.”
Egypt leads Group G in the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers, with 8 points, with Comoros goal difference, while Kenya is third with 3 points, while Togo is last with one point.
