Tariq Al-Ashry announced his departure from the Egyptian club, after a few months taking office.

El-Ashry said: “Now the former coach of Al-Masry, I have already agreed with the club management to leave by mutual agreement.”

He added via Ontime Sports 2: “I built a respectable team and everyone saw how we appeared against Al-Zamak and we played a great game.”

He continued: “The Corona virus came and hit the team in a carnage. Everything I built was demolished in 6 weeks. Personally, I stayed away from the team for 15 days and the players took turns getting infected.”

He replied: “I voiced my objection to the management against going to the Egypt compensation match, as they did not have a goalkeeper.”

He continued: “Unfortunately, the clubs are playing to our weaknesses and they know them. They all play to their advantage for the three points, and Al-Masry represents a good opportunity to beat him now.”

He stressed: “Everything was against me and I was distracted.”

He touched more on the reasons for his departure from Al-Masry: “Everyone saw how there was a great controversy until 11 at night, and I did not know the results of the wipes.

He continued: “I was surprised that Walid Al-Attar gave the results of the swabs to Abdul Zahir Al-Sakka and the team doctor from seven o’clock. I cannot explain why the results have been withheld from me until now. Why than?”.

And he added: “I am the coach, I must know all the little ones and the great ones, I (the one hand in the fire), who was sacrificed in the end?”

He continued: “I felt betrayed, specifically from a certain person, not the board of directors, whom I love and affection.”

He continued: “I haven’t seen that in 20 years of training.”

He concluded: “The club negotiated with other coaches and I am still in the field. I am a respectable person. If you want to leave me, tell me clearly and I will thank you.”

Al-Ashry took over training from Al-Masry last February, succeeding Ihab Galal, and led the team in 7 matches, drawing twice and losing 5.
