The Dubai Sports Council announced the final list of candidates to win the “Globe Soccer Awards” in 2020, which includes the choice of the best club of the 21st century.
The nominations, which fans voted to choose, saw Al-Ahly appear on the list of clubs vying for the best award of the current century.
Al-Ahly competes with Barcelona, Real Madrid and Bayern Munich for the best clubs of the 21st century.
Al-Ahly were competing with Barcelona, Real Madrid, Bayern, Juventus, Liverpool, Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain for the best club of the 21st century before making the final list.
Salah competes with Ronaldo and Messi for Globe Soccer’s Best Player of the 21st Century award
The City Council annually awards an award to the best player in the world, which the Portuguese Cristiano Ronaldo has won in the last four years, in addition to other awards for coaches, player agents, referees, clubs, goalkeepers and Arab players.
The council announced the presence of Cristiano Ronaldo (Juventus), Lionel Messi (Barcelona) and Robert Lewandowski (Bayern Munich) on the definitive list of the 2020 Player of the Year award.
