In a fine gesture from Paris Saint-Germain star Killian Mbappe, the latter requested the award from Monaco striker Lussam Ben Yeder after scoring the same number of first goals in the final season of the French League.
After the French Soccer Federation decided to end the season without completing the remaining rounds and choose Paris as the competition champion, Mbabe chose the league’s top scorer, preferring Ali Ben Yeder, because he scored all of his 18 goals in the game opened, but the latter scored 3 times from the penalty spot.
“I thank you all for your messages,” Mbappe, 21, wrote on Twitter. “I think Wissam deserves a cup to crown his season, just as he did last season in the Premier League.”
