Nigeria tied their guest Sierra Leone with four goals for each team at the Abiola National Stadium in Abuja, in the third round of Group 12 qualifying for the 2021 African Cup of Nations.

The match witnessed a crazy scenario, after Nigeria led by four clean goals in the first half hour of the match, before Sierra Leone came back and tied the tie in the final moments of the match.

Nigeria scored the first goal for Everton’s Alex Iwobi in the fourth minute, before Napoli forward Victor Osimen doubled the score in the 21st minute.

Iwobi came back and scored the third goal in the 27th minute, before Samuel Chukwizi completed the Villarreal winger in the Nigerian quad in the 29th minute. Here the game turned upside down.

Sierra Leone cut Kwame Coy’s lead in the 41st minute, a goal that would not have disturbed the Nigerians’ comfortable lead.

In the second half, many minutes passed before El Hadj Cámara scored the second goal for Sierra Leone, 18 minutes before the end.

Then the match caught fire in the 80th minute, with Mustafa Bondo scoring the third goal for Sierra Leone.

Finally the miracle was achieved in the 86th minute, with Camara scoring his second and fourth personal goals for his country.

Nigeria could raise their tally to 7 points at the top of the group, with two wins and a draw.

Sierra Leone claimed their second point in the playoffs and jumped to third place temporarily.

The other group match will be played between Benin (3 points) and Lesotho (1 point) on Saturday.
