Syed Abdel Hafeez – Ali Maaloul – Al Ahly – African Champions – El Shennawi
Sayed Abdel Hafeez, Al-Ahly soccer coach, expressed his joy at winning the CAF Champions League, expressing concern at the historic clash against traditional rivals Zamalek.
The former Al-Ahly player said on his club’s channel: “(Pitso) Mosimani facilitated my mission from his arrival, he knows the players and their potential, the way he treats them gives him an advantage over them. From soccer justice to giving him a chance to get revenge and correct things, we faced Mamelodi Sundowns then Wydad and then Zamalek, who we faced months ago. At Al-Super and we didn’t know how to live. “
And he continued, “I always bet on the internal stability of the team to face difficulties and pressures.”
He added: “I was worried before the game because for the fans this is a historic game that does not happen often, and against the traditional rival.”
He concluded: “Zamalek played a great game, but with numbers we are the most worthy and we won the title.”
Al-Ahly reinforced his record of times, after winning the championship for the ninth time.
Al-Ahly ended the historic clash with a score of 2-1 at the Cairo Stadium and will participate in the African Super Cup against the Moroccan rebirth of Berkane.
Next February, Al-Ahly will fly to Qatar to participate in the Club World Cup.
