Sayed Abdel Hafeez, football director of the Al-Ahly club, praised the performance of referee Victor Gómez, who managed his team’s match against Wydad in the second leg of the CAF Champions League semi-finals.

And about Al-Ahly’s victory over Wydad and reaching the final, Abdel Hafeez emphasized: “We have taken a big step towards the championship, but we have not yet achieved the title. Everyone should think about that.”
“We went well to meet Wydad, and praise God, we managed to achieve what we want and reach the final.”
Al-Ahly qualified for the final after winning back and forth with five goals per one goal in the total of the two matches.
Al-Ahly is expected to face the winner of Zamalek or Raja on November 6 at the Cairo Stadium.
That final ranking became the first for Al-Ahly after a two-year absence, and the third in the past four years.
Overall, that ranking became No. 13 in Red Genius history for the final as a record, as he was crowned eight times and lost the title four times.
