Sayed Abdel Hafeez, football director of Al-Ahly club, revealed the absence of Mahmoud Abdel-Moneim “Kahraba”, the team player, from training due to a cold, while Taher Mohamed would return to training in 5 days.
Abdel Hafeez said on his club’s official website: “The lack of electrification in group training was due to his exposure to a cold.”
“The player underwent a medical examination before the start of the training session and the coaching staff preferred to give him rest,” he added.
“Kahraba suffered a cold after Al-Ittihad’s match in Alexandria, and on Wednesday he will undergo a new medical examination to determine his position in training,” he said.
And Kahraba had scored a goal in Al-Ahly’s victory with four unanswered goals against Alexandria’s Al-Ittihad, to bring his tally to 3 goals, evenly with Mohamed Sharif.
Speaking of Taher Mohamed, Abdel Hafeez said: “The player returns to group training after 5 days.”
“His X-rays showed that there was no rib fracture, but he only suffers from a severe bruise,” he said.
He concluded his comments: “Taher received negative relief today, and will start a physical therapy program starting Wednesday tomorrow and will participate in group exercises after 5 days.”
Taher Mohamed Taher left the Al-Ahly and Al-Ittihad party due to a severe contusion to the ribs.
Junior Ajay also started implementing a physical therapy program outside of group training.
Ajay had suffered an injury in the final of the CAF Champions League that prevented him from participating in training sessions and matches.
