A source from the national team revealed that Mohamed Salah will continue in Egypt until he is fully recovered from the Corona virus.
The source said in statements toFilGoal.com: “Liverpool are following up Salah’s case with Mohamed Abu Al-Ela, the Egyptian national team doctor, around the clock.”
He added: “The chief of medical staff in Liverpool speaks by video call with Abu Al-Ela to follow up on Salah’s medical protocol.”
The source continued: “Salah’s treatment is proceeding according to the medical protocol that the player brought from England, with instructions from Liverpool for the team’s players.”
“We sent a letter detailing the two surveys Salah underwent to Liverpool, and the club thanked us for our efforts to treat Salah.”
And he concluded, “Mohamed Salah has confirmed his absence from the Togo match in Togo after days, although his sample turned negative, because the trip will be tomorrow Sunday, and the player will continue in Egypt until the full recovery of Corona is completed for then return to England to join Liverpool. “
On Friday night, the Football Association announced that Mohamed Salah had been infected with the Corona virus, after two samples tested positive before the Togo match.
Egypt will meet Togo tonight, Saturday, in the third round of the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
