A responsible source within the Zamalek club revealed that Patrice Carteron, the team’s coach, had insisted on paying the penalty clause in his contract with Castillo Blanco.
The source, who preferred not to be named, told FilGoal.com: “We were surprised by Carteron’s presence at the club with a quarter of a million dollars to pay for the penalty clause.”
“The new foreign manager will arrive at the club in a week,” he added.
He continued, “as long as Tariq Yahya and Medhat Abdel Hadi, along with the rest of the auxiliary apparatus, will coach the team during the next matches, until a new technical director is signed.”

Zamalek is preparing to face Aswan next Friday in the 28th round of the league.
This is not the first time that Tariq Yahya will manage Zamalek from the coach’s seat, having previously led the team in 2017.
After that, he took over as assistant coach on Nebusha Jovovich’s coaching staff.
Tariq Yahya had technically led Zamalek with Ayman Abdel Aziz during the current season after Micho’s departure and before Carteron’s arrival.
