A source close to Saleh Jumaa denied the player was absent from Al-Ahly’s training today, Wednesday, without permission.
The source said that FilGoal.com: “Saleh Jumaa was naturally present at Al-Ahly clubhouse today.”
He continued: “Saleh trained in the gym, so some people may have thought he did not attend training.”
It revealed: “The player missed an alternate test (Quick Test) for the Corona virus.”
He explained that “his absence was due to his exclusion from the list of the team scheduled to participate against Ismaily in the next match.”
Al-Ahly prepares to face Ismaily on Friday night in the 26th round of the league competition.
He concluded his comments: “The technical staff were not surprised by the absence of Saleh Jumaa, as some say.”
Saleh Jumaa took part in just 6 minutes with Al-Ahly this season, against Al-Masry on matchday 23 of the league competition.
Rene Fyler, the team’s coach, indicated that the player had a chance because of his efforts recently, but needs more effort to have a bigger chance.
