Club president Larissa Alexis Kogias issued a new statement on Wednesday morning explaining the reasons that led the club to cancel the Egyptian international contract, Amr Warda, borrowed from PAOK.
The Greek club made it clear Tuesday night that the player’s contract was terminated for disciplinary reasons (details).
Before Warda responded via FilGoal.com, he said personal differences between Larisa’s president and his PAOK counterpart were the reason for breaking the loan (details).
Larissa Club released a statement to the club president on Wednesday morning, as follows:
“I want to explain why I decided to leave the Warda and Gianas Masuras duo of Larissa.”
“As for Warda, I made this decision due to his lack of commitment to attend training, as the player appeared in training only two out of 9 in the last period after the resumption of soccer activity was approaching.”
“Warda did not get permission to be absent from training in the recent period, either the coach, the team manager, or myself.”
“The decision to leave Amr Warda for Larisa is only for this reason.”
“Everyone knows how much we love this player on a soccer and personal level, and this is what helped us help him overcome his previous personal problems.”
Warda did not obtain permission to be absent from training in the recent period by the coach, the team manager or myself.
“I would like to thank Amr for the wonderful moments he gave us throughout the year.”
“I also thank you for the two letters you sent me last night, as you expressed your gratitude and to the Larissa club for what we presented to you.”
“It will always be a rose in our hearts and we are waiting for it to come back to us at some point, but with respect for our principles.”
“On Friday, when I am in Larissa, I will publish your letters.”
Warda, 26, played 23 games this season locally, scored 7 and scored 6 goals.
