A source from the African Confederation (CAF) clarified the position of the matches of the Moroccan Wydad against the Kaizer Chiefs of South Africa and the Algerian youth Belouizdad against the Sundowns in the African Champions League to FilGoal.com.
The source told FilGoal.com: “Tomorrow is the deadline for Moroccan Wydad and JS Belouizdad to determine the stadium for the Kaizer Chiefs and Sundowns matches, respectively.”
“The young man from Belouizdad submitted an application to host the match in Sudan on February 27 or 28, and is awaiting the response of the Sudanese authorities to agree to host the match.”
The source stressed that “a team that does not find a stadium will be considered to have lost 2-0.”
“When the stadium is determined in a neutral country, and if the visiting team refuses to play in a neutral stadium, it is considered the loser of the match because of its refusal to travel,” he said.
