The FIFA Referees Committee announced the names of the referees scheduled to be in Qatar to manage the FIFA Club World Cup matches.

African champion club Al-Ahly is looking forward to meeting their rival in the first match of the quarterfinals, as the draw ceremony is scheduled for January 19.

Qatar will host the FIFA Club World Cup from February 1-11, in which the decision was made to postpone the tournament from December 2020 to February 2021.

In its official statement, FIFA indicated that 7 referees and 12 assistant referees have been selected for the tournament matches, in addition to 7 referees to take on the task of judging by video technology during the matches.

There are 5 Arab referees in the tournament, including 3 referees from the Emirates, one referee from Qatar and one from Morocco.

“FIFA” was chosen by the Emirati trio, Mohammed Abdullah, among the rulers of the arena, along with the duo Mohammed Al Hammadi and Hassan Al Mahri among the assistant referees, while the Qatari Khamis Al Marai was chosen among the referees in the video, in the presence of the Moroccan Radwan Jaid.

The Senegalese team, led by Majiti Nday and assistant duo Gabriel Camara and Hajj Malik, represent the African rulers at the FIFA Club World Cup in Doha.

FIFA confirmed that the appointment of the women’s trio, Edina Alves Batista, in addition to Brazil’s Newsa Pack and Argentina’s Mariana de Almeida, was a continuation of the trend started at the U-17 World Cup in India.

The statement emphasized that all selected referees will conclude their final preparations in Qatar a week before the kick-off of the opening match.
