The name of Tunisian international Ferjani Sassi has been circulating intensively these days among Zamalek fans, after press reports revealed the possibility of the departure of the Carthage Eagles star from the White Castle.
Reports had indicated that Ferjani Sassi was a target for Al-Ahly and the Pyramids to sign, especially since the player did not extend his contract with Mitt Oqba.
Ahmed Mortada Mansour, a member of the Zamalek Board of Directors, confirmed in televised statements on Al-Nahar TV that the club is happy to negotiate with Ferjani Sassi, and that the club will renew the contract with the Tunisian international.
Journalist Omar Rabi` Yassin said on his Al-Nahar TV show that Ferjani Sassi has an offer from the Pyramids Club, in which the player will receive a salary of $ 2.5 million annually.
Yacine confirmed that Pyramids had sent his offer to the Tunisian player’s agent for the amount he would like to receive in the future as salary.
Amir Mortada Mansour, General Supervisor of Soccer in Zamalek, confirmed that concern over the African Champions League championship has delayed the renewal of Sassi’s contract with Castillo Blanco.
Amir confirmed that Al-Ahly does not seek to include the Tunisian star, and believes that these rumors are only intended to undermine the stability of the white team.
Ferjani and Sassi’s contract with the Zamalek Club expires at the next guy and he has the right to negotiate with any club after entering the free period next January.
