Dr. Hossam Hazaa, a member of the Egyptian Federation of Chambers of Tourism, revealed the details of a study proposed to operate domestic tourism by 25%, to work to offset losses in the sector in light of the current crisis as a result of the emerging Corona virus.

Hazza told “Masrawy” that this study is carried out in coordination with various other parties, and with the approval of the Presidency of the Republic, the Council of Ministers, the Ministries of Tourism and Health, and the rooms of hotels and tourist establishments. and the rest of the other rooms to operate the sector by 25%.

He explained that the operation of the tourism sector is subject to obtaining an international certificate accredited by an international company that certifies that hotels and tourist establishments have carried out adequate disinfection and disinfection operations to receive guests, tourists, according to the World Health Organization. .

He continued: “The plan to obtain a safe tourism operation certificate includes the issuance of an accreditation certificate for establishments wishing to work, through a thorough review, to ensure the implementation of all preventive measures and procedures established through companies. specialized companies responsible for the integrity of the accreditation certificate and granting the accredited establishment a promotional tourist poster called (Resort Safe Health) that can be documented in Egypt and abroad with the aim of promoting Egyptian tourism once the tourist markets are opened foreign.

A member of the Federation of Chambers of Tourism noted that the implementation mechanism has not yet entered into force, and all discussions and proposals, similar to hotels in Saudi Arabia, and an international certificate for food and other things are being studied.
