Farida Osman wins gold medal at US Open Swimming Championships

The Egyptian swimmer Farida Othman managed to crown the gold medal of the American Open Swimming Championship in the 50 meters freestyle with a time of 10.25, a historic achievement for Egyptian swimming despite the crisis of the “Crown” that devastates the world and it affects all sports. Swimmer Marwan Al-Qamah qualified for the 2021 Tokyo Olympics after breaking the qualifying record for the 800-meter freestyle race, winning first place at the US Open Swimming Championships.

Ashraf Sobhy, Minister of Youth and Sports, congratulated Farida Othman after winning the gold in the American championship, Marwan Al-Kasheh, the player in the qualification for the Olympic Games, as well as the Egyptian Swimming Federation for the effort made in the form of training, the preparation of players for international tournaments and their achievement of impressive results in various competitions.

The Minister of Youth and Sports indicated supporting sports federations in coordination with the Egyptian Olympic Committee, and supporting all male and female players, and following up on their preparations for various competitions in light of the enthusiasm to continue the achievements witnessed by Egyptian sport during the current period.
