The social networking site “Facebook” has prevented a Frenchman from filming a live broadcast of the moment of his death, as he suffers from a rare and intractable disease.
A desperate 57-year-old man named “Alan Cook” posted a video from his bed yesterday, stating that he will stop eating, drinking or taking medicine until he dies.

His decision came in protest of the refusal of French President “Emmanuel Macron” to his request for euthanasia with an emotional speech, saying: “I know that the next few days will be very difficult … but I made my decision and I am very calm.”
After announcing his intention to broadcast his death live, Cook received a message on his Facebook account that prevented him from posting videos until Tuesday.
Emphasizing this, the social media platform said: “Our hearts go out to Alan Cookk and those affected by this sad situation. We respect his decision to draw attention to this complex and difficult issue.”
“Based on expert advice, we have taken steps to prevent Cook from activating, because we do not allow suicide attempts to be filmed.”
