Al-Azhar Al-Sharif announced that the prayers of Tarawih and Tahajid will be transmitted from the Al-Azhar mosque, starting today, Wednesday, until the end of the holy month of Ramadan.
Al-Azhar emphasized that the prayers will be carried out only in the presence of the imams and workers of the mosque, with the commitment to take all necessary measures to guarantee the safety of the workers against the Corona virus.
And Al-Azhar decided to transmit the prayer rituals directly, through the official pages of Al-Azhar on social networks, Facebook, YouTube, Instagram and Twitter, to spread the spiritual atmosphere related to the holy month, especially during the last few ten days.
Al-Azhar Al-Sharif had previously announced that it was permissible to stop meeting and group prayers to protect people from the Corunna virus.
A statement to the Senior Academic Authority in Al-Azhar said that, in light of the results of successive health reports on the rapid spread of the crown and its transformation into a global epidemic, and with the frequency of medical information from that the real danger of the virus lies in the ease and speed of its spread, and that the infected person may have no symptoms, nor does He know that he has it, and in doing so, he spreads the infection everywhere, so on Friday and congregational prayers can stop.
