Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has warned his French counterpart Emmanuel Macron that he will face more problems with him personally, in the recent escalation of tensions between the two countries and the mobilization of Macron of Europe against Turkey.
This came in a speech by Erdogan on Saturday, during his participation in an event marking the anniversary of the military coup in Turkey on September 12, 1980, on the island of “democracy and freedoms” located in the Sea of Marmara.
Erdogan said: “Mr. Macron, you will personally have more problems with me.”
Addressing his French counterpart, he added: “You have no historical information and you are ignorant of the history of France, so don’t worry about Turkey and its people.”
Tips to Greece
Erdogan gave advice to Greece, saying that Greece goes to Turkey with its neighbor whenever it wants, asking it to give neighboring relations their right and not take wrong paths.
And he added to Greece: “You do wrong things, don’t take these roads, or you will face severe isolation.”
Revolution 2016
On the other hand, the president said that those who expected the success of his “boys” in the attempted coup in Turkey in mid-July 2016, suffered a great failure.
Erdogan added: “There is no doubt that one of them was waiting to say ‘Our boys succeeded’ again on the night of July 15, 2016.”
He noted that every coup or attempted coup that Turkey has experienced today “is neither legitimate nor dishonest.”
He continued: “The coup has always been an indispensable tool for those who fear facing the dire consequences of direct interventions in Turkey.”
