Amr El Ganaini, member of the five-year committee of the Egyptian Football Association, confirmed that the final of the African Champions League will be officially held at the Cairo Stadium.

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) had previously announced the Army Stadium at Borg El Arab in Alexandria for the Champions League final on November 27, after it was postponed from November 6.

He is scheduled to face Al-Ahly and Zamalek in the final match.

Al-Ganaini said in statements on “Al-Nahar Sports” channel, “The basic desire for us is to assist the masses as many as possible. There are security approvals, precautionary measures and requests from the African Union to govern this matter.” .

“Officially, the match will be played at the Cairo Stadium,” he added.

The previous days witnessed statements by FIFA officials and the Minister of Youth and Sports, Ashraf Sobhi, on obtaining the necessary approvals to transfer the match from Alexandria to Cairo.

The chairman of the Five-Year Committee concluded his remarks by saying: “We will study all the requirements of the African Union regarding public attendance, and then we will announce the final position on this matter.”
