Al-Ahly goalkeeper Sharif Ikrami confirmed that his decision to leave the team was due to two reasons, one of which was his lack of appreciation and his desire to participate in games.

In his comments to the Number One program through the Al-Nahar channel, Ekrami indicated that Al-Ahly’s coach, René Filer, prevented his departure, before accepting after knowing the reasons.

Al-Ahly’s guard said: “I felt a lack of appreciation from the administration due to the delay in negotiations with me for the renovation, which led me to leave, but it is not the only reason, because I also want to participate in the parties”.

He continued: “I told Ramadan Sobhi to think about leaving, but I did not inform him of the final decision after he made it, and I did not inform anyone else until my decision was officially announced.”

He added: “I do not want to retire from football while I am on the bench, I see that I have more years to be in games, I have been in reserve at Al-Ahly for two seasons, but the role of the second goalkeeper does not suit me.”

He added: “When Fyler heard about my departure via Twitter, he called me and held a session with me and asked me not to leave, then he asked me why, and when he found out that participation was the reason, He agreed with my decision because he couldn’t promise me to participate. “

He explained: “Someone used the emblem while it was not suitable for him, the character inside and outside the stadium must also be suitable for this role, not to be chosen for seniority.”

He concluded: “For example, Muhammad Abu Trika did not wear the bracelet very much, but he is a leader and he feels calm when he is on the field, and his personality is sufficient for that.”
