Egypt’s Al-Ahly take a heavy blow before the African final against Zamalek

On Sunday, Egypt’s Al-Ahly took a heavy hit, just days before their long-awaited showdown with rival Zamalek, in the African Champions League soccer championship.

This comes after their star, Walid Suleiman, announced that he and his son Salim had been infected with the new Corona virus (Covid-19).

The “Red Devils” player, on his official Facebook page, as well as on his official Instagram account, published a short post, in which he announced that he had been infected with the Corona virus.

Walid wrote: “Praise God before and after, Salim and I are positive (Corona), your prayers”, as reported by (on the Joule website).

Al-Ahly previously revealed, on his official website, that Walid Suleiman had undergone a new medical swab today, Sunday.

Walid Suleiman participated in Al-Ahly’s victory over Abu Qir Fertilizers in the Egypt Cup quarter-finals on Saturday, and led the team to the semi-finals by scoring two goals.

Walid Suleiman is the fifth Al-Ahly player to announce that he has been infected with the Corona virus in recent days, after Mahmoud Abdel-Moneim “Kahraba”, Saleh Jumaa, Muhammad Sharif and Ahmed Yasser Rayan.

Al-Ahly is preparing to face Zamalek in the expected appointment next Friday, in the final of the African Champions League.
