Khaled Farouk added that the printing of the polymer handle will begin next June, and that the 10-pound denomination will begin, explaining that citizens’ reactions to the new coin will be monitored and the degree of satisfaction with it will be measured.
Plastic “polymer” money is made from a polymeric material and is not plastic in the conventional sense. It is similar to paper money but it is stronger and has better usage benefits compared to paper money. It is not perishable and difficult to counterfeit. Its shelf life and does not transmit viruses.
