Dubai, United Arab Emirates (CNN) – The Egyptian Olympic Committee announced a package of sanctions on Sunday against Zamalek club president Mortada Mansour after receiving complaints against him.

The sanctions included preventing Murtaza Mansour from practicing any sporting activity for a period of 4 years, and failing to prove his representation of Zamalek “in front of others and the judiciary in relation to the club,” according to a statement issued by the Egyptian Olympic Committee.

The committee also fined Mansour 100,000 Egyptian pounds ($ 6,350), in addition to not assuming the chairmanship of any meeting, general assembly or board of directors of the Zamalek Club during the period of his suspension.

In addition, your signature is not recognized in any procedure or correspondence for the Zamalek Club, especially in relation to financial matters. With the need to invite the general assembly of the club to hold elections for the vacant seats, especially the position of president of Zamalek.

The Egyptian Olympic Committee informed the Prosecutor’s Office of the facts of its investigations into the complaints filed against Murtado Mansour, one of them from the president of the Egyptian Al-Ahly Club, Mahmoud Al-Khatib.

The committee said, in its statement, that “the Egyptian Olympic Committee had to stand up and not be complacent so that the matter did not turn into behavior.”

For her part, Mortada Mansour attacked the committee and its head, Hisham Hatab, saying that she would file a complaint against them with the House of Representatives.

Mansour, who is a member of the Egyptian parliament, added: “Hisham Hatab speaks in the House of Representatives … I am not very educated and my language is not long … I have immunity and the decision of the Olympic Committee is invalid.”

Mansour affirmed that the decision to suspend it “will not be fulfilled and I will continue my work normally”, considering that only the General Assembly of the Zamalek Club has the right to “determine my fate,” as he said in an intervention with the Egyptian journalist Ahmed Moussa through of the satellite channel “Sada Al Balad”.
