An official source from the Ministry of Education and Technical Education revealed that the Prime Minister’s decision to reduce the number of employees to 50% could apply to the teachers and workers of the Ministry of Education.

The Prime Minister decided to reduce by 50% the rate of attendance of workers in government institutions, starting today Sunday, to reduce overcrowding in the workplace, in accordance with specified controls, as part of precautionary measures taken by the state to face the second wave of the emerging corona virus.

The source assured “Masrawy” that the decision does not apply to the majority of teachers due to a severe deficit in most specializations in schools, highlighting that there are specializations that are not present in schools that are compensated by internal allocation .

The source pointed out that the implementation of the decision of the women who have children is difficult to apply to the teachers, since the majority of the workers and teachers of the ministry are women.

The source added that the ministry has given school principals great powers to make appropriate decisions, without affecting the proper progress of the work and the educational process, nor the school year plan, the curriculum and the quorum of each teacher.
