Document – Mortada demands the Minister of Sports to cease the Olympic sanctions

Mortada Mansour, president of the Zamalek Club, sent Ashraf Sobhi, the sports minister, to demand that he intervene to stop the sanctions issued by the Olympic Committee.

The official memorandum received by the Minister of Youth and Sports and the Executive Director of the Ministry and the Department of Legal Affairs included a request for Mortada Mansour to annul the decision of the Olympic Committee, which he described as a flagrant challenge to the text of article 13 of the Constitution, Law 71 of 2017, the provisions of the Supreme Administrative Court and a limit to the legislative power “Parliament” and not observing the constitution and the law.

The president of the White Castle addressed the Minister of Sports in the memo, saying: “The decision of the Olympic Committee is a dangerous precedent without equal in the history of the sport, not only in Egypt, but in the world after the members of the Olympic Committee deceived themselves that they were above the law, the constitution and the judiciary after ignoring the provisions of the constitution and the law and thinking they were in a country. Lawless, in addition to their deliberate disregard for the speech received from Parliament on October 4, in which he warned them not to take any punishment or action against him without the permission of the House of Representatives.

The Olympic Committee had issued a decision to suspend Mortada Mansour, president of Zamalek, from the practice of any sporting activity for a period of 4 years, with a fine of 100,000 pounds, and to go to the Zamalek Council to elect a president.

Murtaza Mansour asked to stop the decisions and the consequences of not being represented before others and before the Judiciary, without assuming the presidency of any meeting and without counting his signature.

The president of the Al-Ahly club, the president of the Football Association, the president of the Unión de la Mano, the vice president of the Zamalek club, a member of the board of directors of the Zamalek club and the former president of Zamalek, had presented complaints against Mortada Mansour for what happened to him during the recent period.
